Hello!

My name is Rosie Hunter.

I am an editorial illustrator from Bristol. I am a UWE graduate (class of 2021).

'The first thing that drew me to illustration was the level playing field it creates for all viewers. Illustration is a form of communication that does not rely on a certain aptitude for reading, the ability to speak a certain language or a persons educational background.

I want my work to spark conversation between people, as well as speak on behalf of those who would otherwise be silenced. I want my work to exist in the real world, where it can help make a difference. I want to dispel the belief that art is inaccessible and elitist.

I make my work to engage, inform and educate. I want to make people sit up and think. I want my work to approach people in an accessible and engaging way. I particularly enjoy using visual metaphors and disguising my illustrations in everyday objects, using these seemingly mundane items as vessels for important messages and information.

I am passionate about making ideas driven work with socially conscious themes, in particular mental health. I want to bring my skills as a visual communicator to help people.’
